OnePlus 2 launched in India
Chinese handset maker OnePlus has launched its latest handset OnePlus 2 in world's first virtual reality event.

The all-new One Plus 2 comes in two variants - 16GB and 64GB, is priced at Rs 22,999 and Rs 24,999 respectively.

The Smartphone features a 5.5-inch
full HD (1920x1080p) IPS LCD In-Cell display that the company says is brighter than that of last year's model. Below the display is hardware button that houses a fingerprint scanner, which the company says is faster than the iPhone's TouchID and lets users save up to five fingerprints.

OnePlus 2 runs on OxygenOS, based on the latest Android version Lollipop 5.1. It is the first device to ship with OnePlus' own operating system out of the box.

This dual-SIM Smartphone is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, which is the fastest processor on the market right now.

OnePlus 2 sports a 13MP rear camera with a 1.3-micron sensor, laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, and Optical Image Stabilization system; on the front is a 5MP selfie camera.

The phone packs a 3,300mAh that is approximately 10% bigger than the 3,100mAh battery of the original model.

OnePlus 2 is the world's first Smartphone with a reversible USB Type-C connector. The highlight of the USB Type-C cable is that it's backwards compatible, so users don't need to check which side of the connector is up while inserting it, much like with Apple's Lightning connector. The Type-C port on the OnePlus 2 could allow file transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps and allows the Smartphone to charge faster.

However, this means standard USB accessories will not work with the Smartphone. In order to fix this, OnePlus is also selling a USB Type C-to-microUSB adapter cable.

On the connectivity front, OnePlus 2 supports 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and A-GPS. Other than the company's classic Sandstone Black back cover, One Plus 2 will also have option of StyleSwap covers namely, Bamboo, Black Apricot, Rosewood and Kevlar.

The 64GB OnePlus 2 will be available for purchase with an invite exclusively on Amazon, starting August 11 . The 16GB OnePlus 2 with 3GB LPPDR4 RAM will be available later this year.
