Micromax launches Canvas Pace 4G Q416

Domestic handset maker Micromax has launched Canvas Pace 4G Q416 Smartphone in the country. The entry level Smartphone is priced at Rs 6,821 and is currently available on eBay India.

The dual-SIM Smartphone features a 5-inch FWVGA (480x854p) display and is powered by 1.1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor and 1GB RAM and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The phone packs 2,500mAh battery, offers 8GB of internal storage and can hold microSD cards of up to 32GB.

Micromax Canvas Pace 4G sports a 5MP rear camera along with 2MP selfie camera.

For the connectivity purpose, besides 4G LTE it supports 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB.

Lava launches Iris X10
Domestic handset manufacturer Lava has launched the Iris X10 Smartphone in India. The device has been priced at Rs 10,990. It competes with the likes of Micromax Canvas Sliver 5, Intex Aqua Ace, and Lenovo K3 Note. It is currently listed on HomeShop18.

Lava Iris X10 features a 5-inch (1280x720 pixels) HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop skinned with Star OS.

Powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 3GB RAM, the Smartphone offers 16GB internal storage and has a microSD card slot. The phone packs 2900mAh battery, and sports 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and 5MP selfie camera.

For the connectivity purpose, Lava's new Smartphone Iris X10 supports 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB port.

Obi Worldphone launches SF1 Smartphone
Backed by former Apple CEO John Sculley, Obi Worldphone has launched SF1 Smartphone in India. Obi Worldphone SF1 Smartphone will be available starting December 7.

The dual-SIM Smartphone will come in two variants - one with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, priced at Rs 11,999 and the other with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, priced at Rs 13,999.

Featuring a 5-inch 1080p display, SF1 is powered by 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and Adreno 405 GPU and runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop skinned with Obi Lifespeed UI. The phone packs 3000mAh battery, and can hold microSD cards of up to 64GB.

SF1 sports a 13MP rear camera along with 5MP selfie camera. Other features of the Smartphone include microphones for noise cancelation, Dolby Audio Surround and Quick Charge 1.0.

HTC launches One A9 and Desire 828
HTC has expanded its Smartphone portfolio in the country, the company has launched two new Smartphones - One A9 and Desire 828.

HTC One A9 Smartphone is among the first outside of Google's own Nexus line to feature company's Marshmallow software at launch. And it's the first regular-sized HTC phone to have a fingerprint sensor - a feature already available on phones made my larger rivals Apple and Samsung.

HTC One A9 sports a 5-inch full HD AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor with 64-bit octa-core CPUs. The Smartphone has 13MP rear camera with support for 1080p video recording and ultra Pixel front-facing camera.

HTC has launched the 32GB storage and 3GB RAM version in India that features expandable SD card storage up to 2TB and 2,150 mAh battery.

In addition to the traditional Smartphone colours of gray, silver and gold, the HTC A9 Smartphone also comes in garnet red.

HTC Desire 828 is a dual-SIM Smartphone. It is the first phone in HTC's Desire range to offer OIS (optical image stabilization).

The Smartphone features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920p) IPS display and is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 SoC and 2GB RAM. The phone further offers 16GB internal storage and can hold microSD cards of up to 2TB.

It packs a 2,800mAh battery and sports 13MP rear camera with LED flash, OIS, BSI sensor and full-HD video recording, and 4MP secondary camera.

HTC Desire 828 Smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports 3G, 4G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth.

Gionee launches Marathon M5
Gionee has launched its mega battery smartphone in India. The device is named Marathon M5. Priced at Rs 17,999 the smartphone is available exclusively on Flipkart.

Unveiled at an event in Beijing in June, Gionee Marathon M5 has a 6,020 mAh battery that can last up to 4 days on a single charge. The company claims that the smartphone's extreme mode enables it to deliver standby time of 62 hours with only 5% of charge. The handset can also be used to charge up to 2 devices simultaneously.

Gionee Marathon M5 comes has a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with 720x1280p resolution, Android Lollipop operating system, 32GB internal storage, 3GB RAM, quad-core Mediatek MT6735 chipset, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and 4G support.

The connectivity features in the phone include dual-band LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

Gionee has started assembling smartphones at its Foxconn's facility in Andhra Pradesh and is aiming to assemble around half-a-million phones from the facility by March next year.
Xiaomi launches MiPad 2 tablet
Along with the Redmi Note 3 budget Smartphone, Xiaomi has also launched its MiPad 2 tablet.

The new Xiaomi MiPad 2 has a 7.9-inch display with 1536x2048p resolution, exactly the same as the original MiPad. It runs on a 2.24GHz quad-core Intel Atom X5-Z8500 chipset with 2GB RAM and comes in two storage variants: 16GB and 64GB.

On the back is an 8MP camera, while a 5MP unit is positioned in front for video calls. Connectivity features of Xiaomi MiPad 2 include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Along with these, the tablet comes with a USB Type C connector. The battery capacity of the device is 6,190mAh and supports fast charging technology.

Xiaomi MiPad 2 runs on Android Lollipop-based MIUI 7 software and features a special Reading Mode. Alternatively, buyers can purchase the MiPad featuring Windows 10 out of the box and the same set of hardware.

On the design front, Xiaomi MiPad 2 has an all-metal body that is thinner (6.95mm) and lighter (322 grams) than the original model.

The 16GB model is priced at 999 yuan (approximately Rs 10,400), whereas the 64GB unit costs 1,299 yuan (approximately Rs 13,475).

Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 3
Xiaomi has unveiled its Redmi Note 3 Smartphone. It’s the successor to last year's Redmi Note 4G handset. One of the unique features of the new Smartphone is the addition of a fingerprint sensor, which is still a rarity in the budget segment.

The all-new Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has a 5.5-inch display with Full HD (1080x1920p) resolution and runs on MIUI 7 software, based on Android Lollipop OS. Powering the device is a 2GHz octa-core Mediatek Helio X10 chipset, which is usually found in much more expensive handsets. The Smartphone comes in two variants; 16GB internal storage and 2GB RAM; and 32GB internal storage and 3GB RAM.

For imaging, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 packs a 13MP camera with phase detection autofocus and two-tone LED flash on the back as well as a 5MP camera for selfies. Connectivity suite of the Smartphone consists of the usual: 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and dual-SIM functionality.

A 4,000mAh battery keeps the Smartphone running. Despite the beefy battery, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is only 8.65mm thick, but weighs a hefty 164 grams. The new Smartphone is an all-metal affair with an iPhone 6-like look, since Xiaomi has done away with the plastic body of the successor.

The 16GB variant has been priced at 899 Yuan (approximately Rs 9,350), whereas the 32GB model costs 1099 Yuan (approximately Rs 11,400).

When Xiaomi brings the Redmi Note 3 to the Indian market it will have to use a different chipset in the device, since it is only allowed to sell Smartphones with Qualcomm chipsets due a pending court case.
Lava launches Iris Atom 2X
Domestic Smartphone maker Lava has launched an entry-level Smartphone Iris Atom 2X. The device is priced at Rs 4,499. Lava Iris Atom 2X Smartphone has a 4.5 inch FWVGA display and runs on Android Lollipop 5.1.

The dual-SIM Smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM and supports microSD cards of up to 32GB.

Powered by a 2,000mAh battery, Lava Iris Atom 2X sports 5MP primary camera with LED flash, along with a VGA secondary camera. The connectivity options in the phone include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS.

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority recently issued an allotment letter to the Lava International to set up an electronics manufacturing cluster (EMC) on 100 acres of land along the expressway.

The company already has a research & development centre in India and an in-house product testing set-up in China.

Lenovo launches Vibe S1 Smartphone
Lenovo has launched its Vibe S1 Smartphone, with two front cameras for selfies, in India. Priced at Rs 15,999, the Smartphone will be available exclusively on Amazon starting November 24.

Lenovo announced Vibe S1 in September at IFA 2015. The front panel of Lenovo Vibe S1 has 8MP and 2MP resolution; the former captures the image while the latter adds the depth-of-field effect to the image by blurring the background. We have seen a similar setup earlier too, but only in rear cameras.

Lenovo Vibe S1 Smartphone features a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920) display and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). Powered by 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor and 3GB RAM, the phone comes with 32GB internal storage. Users can slip in microSD cards of up to 128GB capacity for more storage space.


The front camera setup of Vibe S1 is quite unique. Lenovo has gone with a pretty standard 13MP camera, backed by dual-tone flash, on the back. This metal-body Smartphone measures 7.8mm in thickness, weighs 132 gram and packs a 2,50mAh battery.

Intex launches Aqua Air
Domestic handset manufacturer Intex has launched new entry-level Smartphone - Aqua Air. The device is priced at Rs 4,690. At this price, the phone competes with the likes of XOLO Era, Micromax Unite 2 and Huawei Honor Bee.

The dual-SIM Smartphone features 5-inch (854x480p) FWVGA display and is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core MTK6572W processor and 512MB RAM. It offers 8GB of internal storage and can hold microSD cards of up to 32GB.

Aqua Air runs Android KitKat 4.4 and packs 2,300mAh battery and sports 2MP primary camera along with VGA secondary camera.

For the connectivity purpose, it supports 2G, 3G, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS and Wi-Fi.

Intex Aqua Air is available in four colors - grey, white, black and champagne.

ZTE unveils Blade S7
Chinese handset maker ZTE has unveiled a new Smartphone - Blade S7 - which can be the 'the perfect Smartphone for selfie lovers.'
Both the cameras in ZTE Blade S7's - primary and secondary - are 13MP, and both come along with LED flash.

The front-facing or selfie camera also has a phase detection autofocus, Panorama, and supports 14 different beautification options. Apart from this, the Smartphone also sports a fingerprint scanner.

ZTE Blade S7 Smartphone sports a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920p) LTPS display and runs on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 operating system skinned with MiFavor 3.2 UI, and packs 2500mAh battery.

Powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, the phone comes with 3GB RAM and offers 32GB built-in storage, and can support microSD cards of up to 64GB. The phone is available in four color variants - Lemon Green, Rose Gold, Diamond White and Space Grey - and as of now has only been unveiled in Shanghai.

ZTE has not so far revealed the pricing details of the Smartphone, but has said that it will first be launched in Thailand, and will be later made in available in other markets of Asia-Pacific.

Lava launches Pixel V2
Domestic handset vendor Lava has launched the limited edition variant of Pixel V2 Smartphone in Prism Blue colour. Priced at Rs 11,050, the new variant has been launched for a limited period till the end of December 2015.

The other two variants of the Smartphone, available in Icy White and Royal Black colours, would continue to sell at a price of Rs 10,750.

Pixel V2 features 13MP f2.0 rear camera with dual LED flash and the 8MP f2.4 selfie camera with LED flash and can support dual 4G sim cards. The Smartphone sports a 5-inch scratch-resistant HD display with Dragontrail Glass protection.

It is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek quad-core processor coupled with 2GB DDR3 RAM.

Lava Pixel V2 offer 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD cards, and runs Star OS 2.0 based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop).

The Pixel V2 packs a 2,500 mAh Li-Po battery.

InFocus launches M260
US-based InFocus has launched a new budget smartphone InFocus M260 in the Indian market. The device is priced at Rs 3,999. InFocus M260 will be available exclusively on Snapdeal.

The dual-SIM Smartphone runs on Android Lollipop 5.0 and features a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS touchscreen display. Powered by 1.3 GHz GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, the phone comes with 1GB RAM, and also offers 8GB of internal storage. Users who want more storage space can install microSD card.

Gionee launches S Plus with USB Type C
Chinese brand Gionee has launched the newest addition to its S series of Smartphones. The device has been named S Plus. The all-new Gionee S Plus is among the handful of Smartphones featuring a USB Type C port for fast-charging and has been priced at Rs 16,999.

Gionee S Plus, powered by Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, features a 5.5-inch HD (720p) AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass protection. The 4G LTE Smartphone runs on a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor with 3GB RAM and comes with 16GB internal storage; it supports microSD cards for storage expansion.

HTC launches Desire 828
HTC has listed a new Smartphone, Desire 828 dual SIM n its website, which is now available for pre-orders.

The phone has been listed in China and is priced at CNY 1,599. This is the first phone in HTC's Desire range to offer OIS (optical image stabilization).

Domestic handset and tablet-maker Swipe Technologies as launched a new affordable 4G LTE-enabled Smartphone - Elite 2 - in an exclusive partnership with Flipkart. The device is priced of Rs 4,666.

The new phone will be powered by a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 1GB RAM unit. The phone, which has an internal memory of 8GB expandable up to 32GB, will come with an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.

It will draw power from a 1,900mAh battery and run proprietary Freedom operating system on Android Lollipop.
