HTC U (Ocean) Smartphone with ‘Edge Sense’ Feature
HTC is all set to launch its much-teased U (Ocean) Smartphone next month. The handset is reported to come with a unique 'Edge Sense' feature, which will enable users to perform various actions by tapping on the metal edges of the device.

HTC U (Ocean) will be launched in mid April and the global launch will happen in sometime in May. The report says that U (Ocean) will come with sensors under its metallic frame, allowing users to launch apps and perform other actions by squeezing, tapping or swiping on the metal edges.

The report also claims that HTC U (Ocean) will feature a 5.5-inch WQHD display of 1440x2560 pixel resolution. It will run Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and have a 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX362 sensor. A 16MP front-facing camera with IMX351 sensor is also expected. 

The Smartphone is likely to have 64GB/128GB of internal storage, with support for microSD cards.

Some earlier leaks have suggested that the device will offer 4GB of RAM and have Daydream support. Along with this, the Smartphone will have HTC's Sense Companion AI and USB Type-C charging port.

Last month, HTC launched its U Ultra and U Play Smartphones in India. While the U Ultra is priced at Rs 59,990, the U Play sports a price tag of Rs 39,990.

The key highlight of the Smartphones is Sense Companion, HTC's AI-based assistant.

HTC's Sense Companion is similar to the likes of Google Assistant and Apple Siri.

Micromax Dual 5, its Most Expensive Smartphone
Domestic Smartphone maker Micromax has launched its latest flagship Smartphone - Dual 5 in India. 

The company has priced the device at Rs 24,999 and will be available from April 10 via Flipkart, Micromax store and offline retail stores in the country. It comes preloaded with the Micromax Care app which promises 24 hour service and offers 1 year replacement warranty.

The Micromax Dual 5, comes with a metal unibody and narrow bezels. The Smartphone comes with a dual 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 13MP front camera with soft LED flash for selfies.

It is the first Smartphone from Micromax to sport USB Type C. The device also features a customizable key placed on the left side which acts as a shortcut key to various apps. The fingerprint sensor is located on the rear panel and the power button of the Smartphone also doubles up as the panic button. The company said that it has also incorporated a dedicated chip for EAL5 security and is also theft proof.

The Micromax Dual 5 comes with a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display with 1080x1920 pixel resolution. The display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. Powering the device is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdgraon 652 processsor paired with 4GB of RAM. It offers 128GB of internal storage which can be expanded further by installing a microSD card.

The hybrid dual-SIM Smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The 13MP dual rear camera comes with Sony sensors, one with monochrome lens for capturing details and other with RGB lens. The device is backed by a 3200mAh battery and comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 that promises 0 to 95% charge in just 45 minutes and it also has intelligent power saving mode. On the connectivity front it offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type C.

Motorola Moto G5 Smartphone in India
Lenovo -owned Motorola is all set to launch Moto G5 Smartphone in India. The company has sent out media invites for the launch of the Smartphone on April 4, 2017.

The company launched the Moto G5 at the Mobile World Congress 2017, in Barcelona Spain. The Moto G5 is the smaller sibling of the company's recently-launched Moto G5 Plus Smartphone and comes with a 5-inch Full-HD display and runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The Smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and comes in two variants -- 2GB RAM/16GB storage and 3GB RAM/64GB storage.

Moto sports a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, while the front camera is a 5MP one. The device is backed by a 2,800 mAh battery and offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS for connectivity.

Earlier this month, Motorola launched Moto G5 Plus in India with a starting price tag of Rs 14,999. The company has launched two variants of the Smartphone - 3GB RAM/16GB storage and 4GB RAM/32GB storage.

The Moto G5 Plus packs a 5.2-inch Full HD screen with 1080x1920 pixel resolution. The display is protected with the layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and it is also water repellent. The front of the device also houses a capacitive home button which also doubles up as a fingerprint sensor. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and runs Android Nougat 7.0 out-of-the-box.

The Smartphone comes with the popular Moto features such as Moto Display and shake gestures.

Moto G5 Plus is claimed to have the 'most advanced' 12MP camera, supported by dual-LED flash and 4K video recording. There's a 5MP selfie shooter. The device packs a 3,000 mAh battery and offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth as connectivity options.

itel Wish A41 Smartphone
itel Mobile, part of Chinese mobile manufacturer Transsion Holdings has strengthened its 4G portfolio and launched 4G VoLTE-enabled Smartphone Wish A41 for Rs 5,840.

The device features 'Multiple Account' apps and 'SmartKey'.

'Multiple Account' allows users to log in with two different accounts on popular social media apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram.

The 'SmartKey' feature enables them to conveniently perform functions such as taking screenshots and taking pictures with a single click.

Wish A41 is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-core processor with 1GB RAM. It has an internal storage of 8GB, which can be expanded up to 32GB.

The device comes with a 5-inch screen. Wish A41 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes with a 2,400mAh battery. It has a 5MP autofocus rear camera and 2MP front shooter with flash.

Intex launces Aqua 4G Mini Smartphone
Domestic Smartphone brand Intex has expanded its portfolio with the launch of Aqua 4G Mini. Priced at Rs 4,199, the Smartphone will come in Black and Red color options.

Intex Aqua 4G Mini comes with a 4-inch FWVGA display with 480x800 pixel resolution. The Smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor. Aqua Mini 4G offers 2GB of RAM and 4GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB installing a microSD card.

The dual-SIM Smartphone features a 5MP rear camera and a VGA front shooter. It offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS as connectivity options and is backed by a 1,450 mAh battery.

Only last week, Intex launched its Aqua Trend Lite Smartphone priced at Rs 5,690. The USP of the Smartphone is its 1.5 W (Dynamic Type) speaker.

The Intex Aqua Lite comes with a 5-inch FWVGA display with 480x854 pixel resolution. The Smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.2GHz.

The Smartphone offers 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB by adding a microSD card. It sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera with LED flash for capturing low-light selfies. The device houses a 2,600 mAh battery and offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.

OnePlus 3T Midnight Black Edition
It seems s to be the season of launching flagship in new shades. Just a day after Apple announced Red color editions of its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus flagship duo, OnePlus has launched a new color variant of its current 'flagship killer' Smartphone - 3T.

Dubbed OnePlus 3T Midnight Black limited edition, the Smartphone has an all-black paint job. The new color is the result of a dark coating just 14 microns in thickness, applied to the Smartphone three times. The company says that it has also applied an anti-fingerprint layer to the device.

The Midnight Black OnePlus 3T will be offered in limited batches. The all-black flagship Smartphone will be available starting March 31 at 2:00pm, until stocks last.

Other than the new color, the limited edition 3T is exactly the same Smartphone as the regular OnePlus 3T. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC with an insane 6GB of RAM, it comes with 128GB of internal storage. Its facade is taken up by a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED Full HD display. There's a 16MP rear camera with LED flash, Optical Image Stabilization and 4K video recording functionality at the back, in addition to a 16MP front-facing snapper.

Having all modern connectivity options, the OnePlus 3T colette edition is backed by a 3,400mAh battery, with support for OnePlus' 'Dash Charge' fast charging technology.

Oneplus has made good customer base in India. Phone quality is also quite ok. They have to increase battery life. The new model 3T is quite slim model and can compete with flagship phone market.

This is the second limited edition variant of the 3T that OnePlus has launched this month. As its name suggests, the handset has been designed in collaboration with colette, a renowned concept store based in Paris, France.

The OnePlus 3T colette edition also comes in an all-black color. It features the colette logo on its lower back panel. To mark the 20th anniversary of colette, OnePlus has manufactured 250 specially engraved units of the limited edition 3T.

Samsung Galaxy J7 to be launched with AT&T
Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) is all set to make its debut on AT&T's network in the United States. The mid-range Samsung Smartphone will launch in the next few weeks in the US.

Previous reports had claimed that Galaxy J7 (2017) variant will launch as Galaxy J7 V on Verizon network. While TracFone will release the Smartphone as Galaxy J7 Sky Pro. As for Sprint, Virgin and Boost Mobile, these companies are speculated to launch the Smartphone as Galaxy J7 Perx.

The Smartphone has received FCC (Federal Communications Commission) certification, which is said to be the last step before a Smartphone's official unveiling.

The AT&T Galaxy J7 (2017) is listed at FCC with model number SM-J727A.

The Smartphone claim that Galaxy J7 (2017) will run on octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. The Smartphone is said to sport 5.5-inch Full-HD (1080p) display and come with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. On camera front, there's 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera.

Apple launches Special Edition iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus
Apple has launched special editions of its flagship Smartphone duo – iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Called 'PRODUCT RED Special Edition', the new variants of both Smartphones have Red-colored rear panels. They come in 128GB and 256GB internal storage capacities and will be available on the company's website and Apple Stores, at a starting price of $749.

Both special edition Smartphones will go on sale in US, as well as 40 other countries and regions, from March 24.

The iPhone 7 features a 4.7-inch Retina HD display, while the bigger iPhone 7 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch screen. Apart from that, other additions include a 12MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, 6-element lens, quad-LED flash, flicker sensor and more. The Smartphones' cameras use an Image signal processor to apply machine learning, for distinguishing between humans and other object in the image, adjusting the brightness and noise levels accordingly.

It's worth noting that while iPhone 7 features a single 12MP rear camera, iPhone 7 Plus comes with a 12MP dual rear camera setup having 2x optical zoom capability. Both sport a 7MP FaceTime-enabled front camera for selfies and video chats.

The two Smartphones are powered by Apple's new quad-core A10 Fusion chipset, with two high-performance cores and two high-efficiency cores. It's also claimed to be 50% faster than the A9 chipset, which powers the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus Smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro Smartphone in India
Samsung may soon launch its Galaxy C7 Pro Smartphone in India. A handset bearing model number SM-C701F (same as the C7 Pro) recently received Wi-Fi certification.

The Galaxy C7 Pro was launched in China, back in January this year. The dual-SIM Smartphone has a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. It's backed by a 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM. There's also 64GB of internal storage, with support for microSD cards of up to 256GB in size.

Galaxy C7 Pro has a 16MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture. The camera can record Full HD videos.

The 4G LTE-capable Galaxy C7 Pro includes USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack and all major connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. It's backed by a 3,300mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro will be available in three colors - Gold, Pink and Blue. The company listing page reads that the handset has an efficient heat pipe cooling system. Samsung Pay support is also there.

There is no official information about the launching of Galaxy C7 Pro in the Indian market; although it’s expected to be launched soon.

LeEco's Next Gen Smart TVs to be Launched Soon
Chinese internet and technology conglomerate LeEco which launched Super3 X Series TVs last year in India may soon bring its next generation TVs to the country.

The next series of TVs by LeEco will give the best TV viewing experience as a whole, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

LeEco's Super3 X Series -- the 55-inch Super3 X55 and the 65-inch Super3 X65 -- offer 4K Ultra HD (3840x2160) resolutions.

The 65-inch flagship model Super3 Max65 supports FPR 3D and comes with bundled glasses.

The three televisions in the Super3 series feature all-metal bodies.

While the Super3 X55 sports 2GB of RAM and 8GB of storage, the other two televisions come with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

With the new Next Gen TV with its video and color-processing engine, a user can perform multiple functions with ease.

Also, high-speed memory enhances application response speed for desktop switching, 4K ultra-clear video load and seamless running of large games.

Gionee launches A1 and A1 Plus Smartphones
Gionee has launched two new Smartphones at the ongoing MWC 2017 conference in Barcelona, Spain. The Chinese tech company showcased the A1 and A1 Plus Smartphones, both of which are claimed to have long battery life and features that enable 'enhanced' selfie images.

Both Gionee A1 and the A1 Plus will be made available in select countries starting March 2017 and April 2017 respectively. While the A1 costs EUR 349, the A1 Plus bears a price tag of EUR 499.

Running Android 7.0 Nougat, the Gionee A1 Plus features a 6-inch Full HD display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution. The dual-SIM handset is powered by a MediaTek Helio P25 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. There's also 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using microSD cards of up to 256GB.

The Gionee A1 features a 20MP selfie camera. There's also a dual rear camera setup comprised of a 13MP module and a 5MP module, in addition to a 5P lens and dual-LED flash.

The Smartphone sports Waves MaxxAudio technology and is backed by a 4,550mAh battery. Measuring 166.4mmx83.3mmx9.1mm, the Gionee A1 Plus weighs 226g and will be available in Gray, Mocha and Gold colour variants.

The dual-SIM Android 7.0 Nougat-based Gionee A1 sports 5.5-inch Full HD resolution AMOLED display and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 processor, clubbed with 4GB of RAM. Internal storage stands at 64GB and can be expanded via microSD cards of up to 128GB in size.

Gionee A1 sports a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5P Lens and selfie flash. There is a 13MP rear autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture included in the mix as well.

Both handsets feature a bokeh-selfie affect, allowing users to blur the background for better selfies. The A1 comes with Waves MaxxAudio and is powered by a 4,010mAh battery. Weighing 182g, the handset will be available in Gray, Black and Gold colour variants.
