Kestrel Networks, an
India-based player in the information and communication technologies (ICT) segment,
has entered the country's Smartphone market with budget handset KM 451.
Launched officially at Rs 6,190, the Smartphone is available on e-commerce website at approximately Rs 4,000.
Kestrel KM 451 has a 4.5-inch screen with 480x854p resolution and OGS technology and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It packs a 1GHz dual-core processor, 4GB of internal storage and 512MB RAM under the hood, and also supports microSD cards for storage expansion.
On the back of Kestrel KM 451 is a 5MP camera with LED flash, whereas a 0.3MP camera is placed on the front panel. Connectivity features of the Smartphone include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB. Its 1,750mAh battery can deliver talk time of up to 8 hours, the company claims.
The Smartphone will be available in white as well as black colours, weighs 150 grams, and is 9.35mm thick.
Kestrel claims to have over 100 service centres and a R&D centres in India, along with a testing centre in China.
