Huawei Nova 2S with Android Oreo launched in China
The Chinese Smartphone maker Huawei seems to be in a launching spree. The manufacturer recently launched Huawei Honor 7X and Honor V10 Smartphones and has now launched a new device under its Nova series.

Huawei launched its Nova 2S Smartphone in China. The company has priced the device at 2999 Yuan for 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and 3399 Yuan for 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version. The Smartphone will be available in Black, Gray, Red, Rose Gold and Blue color options.

The Huawei Nova 2S sports a 6-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 1080x2160 pixel resolution. The Smartphone is powered by the company's own Kirin 960 processor and runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system tapped with EMUI 8.0.

The device offers 6GB/4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The storage capacity can further be expanded up to 256GB by adding a microSD card. The Smartphone comes with dual SIM functionality and comes with dual rear camera setup. The Huawei Nova 2S consists of 16MP (RGB) + 20MP (Monochrome) dual rear cameras with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture and 4K video recording support.

The device comes with a dual selfie camera with 20MP and 2MP sensor, LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. Huawei Nova 2S also incorporates a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear panel and 3340mAh battery with fast charging support. In terms of connectivity the Smartphone offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and USB Type C.

Huawei to launch Nova 2S Smartphone
Chinese Smartphone maker Huawei is all set to expand its product portfolio in China. The company has scheduled a launch event for December 7, where it is likely to unveil Huawei Nova 2S Smartphone.

The Huawei Nova 2S share similar looks as the Huawei Mate 10 Lite. The Smartphone is expected to come with a full screen display with 18:9 aspect ratio and dual rear camera setup. The device is said to feature a 20MP + 16MP rear cameras with LED flash. It is claimed to be powered by the company's own Kirin 960 processor and run Android 8.0 Oreo operating system.

Launched: Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro

Huawei unveiled its new flagship Smartphones - Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro.

Both the Smartphones sport near-bezel less display and are the company's answer to Apple's iPhone X. The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is priced at EUR 699 (roughly Rs. 53,400), and will go on sale from November in several countries including Australia, Singapore, Spain and Mexico. 


The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is priced at EUR 799 (roughly Rs. 61,000), and will be up for grabs starting November. The Chinese Smartphone maker also unveiled a Porsche Design Huawei Mate 10, which is priced at EUR 1,395 (roughly Rs 1,06,600). There's no word on the India launch date of either of the Smartphones.

The main differentiator between the two phones is the screen size and shape. The Mate 10 comes with a 5.9-inch 2560 x 1440 LCD while the Mate 10 Pro's display is a 6-inch 2160 x 1080 OLED. The other notable difference is that the Mate 10 comes with a 3.5MM headphone jack whereas the Mate 10 Pro ditches it completely.

Both the Huawei Mate 10 and the Mate 10 Pro are powered by Huawei's HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC. Huawei is betting on AI with is new chip sets and claims that it will support features like bokeh effect in photos.

Both Smartphones come packed with a 4000mAH battery. Huawei Mate 10 comes with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The Mate 10 Pro, on the other hand, will be available in two variants - 4GB RAM/64GB storage and 6GB RAM/128GB storage. Whule internal storage (up to 256GB) can be expanded on Mate 10, there is no such provision on the Mate 10 Pro. There's a fingerprint scanner on board both the Smartphones.

As far as the camera is concerned, Huawei has gone with the same module on both the devices. The Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro comes with a dual rear camera set up -- 20-megapixel monochrome sensor and 12-megapixel RGB sensor. There's an 8MP front camera equipped on both the Smartphones. The Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro run EMUI 8.0, based on Android 8.0.

Launched: Huawei Y6 Pro (2017)

Chinese Smartphone maker Huawei has launched a new variant of the Huawei Y6 (2017). Dubbed as the Y6 Pro (2017), this handset is listed on Amazon at EUR 189 (roughly Rs. 14,450) and is currently available in European markets of Germany, Italy and France.

Boasting of a metal body, the Smartphone houses a fingerprint sensor at the back. It comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display of 720x1280p resolution. The Y6 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 (MSM8917) processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.

Backed by a 3020mAh battery, the Smartphone has 16GB internal storage, a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie snapper on the front.

Available in Black, Golden, and Silver colors, the Y6 Pro (2017) is a dual-SIM handset and runs on EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.

Huawei launches G9 Plus in China
Huawei has expanded its Smartphone line-up with launch of the G9 Plus in China. The Smartphone is available in Gold, Silver and Rose Gold color options and is already up for sale in China.

Huawei G9 flaunts a metal unibody design and also has a fingerprint sensor.

Huawei G9 Plus features a 5.5-inch Full HD display. It is powered by a 2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The Dual SIM handset runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system topped with Huawei's Emotion UI.

Internal storage of the G9 Plus is 16GB and can be further expanded by microSD cards of up to 128GB in size. It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front-facing snapper for selfies. Powered by a 3,340mAh battery, connectivity options for the device include 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB.

Huawei Maimang 5 launched in China
Huawei has launched its Maimang 5 Smartphone in China, which is said to go on sale globally with 'Huawei G9' moniker. The smartphone is a successor to the company's Maimang 4, which later launched as Huawei G8 globally.

Huawei has already launched its G9 Lite Smartphone in China in May this year.

Based on variations in RAM and inbuilt storage combinations, the dual-SIM Smartphone comes in two variants. The device is available in 3GB RAM + 32GB and 4GB RAM + 64GB versions.

The Huawei Maimang 5 features a 5.5-inch full-HD resolution IPS display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution. Inside, the handset boasts of an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and supports microSD card up to 128GB. Maimang 5 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the company's EMUI 4.1 on top.

The Smartphone sports 16MP rear camera along with an 8MP front-facing camera. Backed by a 3340mAh battery, the the new Huawei supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a USB Type-C port.

The 3G RAM version is available in Champagne Gold and Moonlight Silver color variants, while the 4G RAM variant will comes in Champagne Gold and Rose Gold colors.

The former costs CNY 2399, the latter variant is priced at CNY 2599. It is supposed to go on sale starting July 21.

There are speculations that the Chinese telecom major Huawei may launch its flagship P9 smartphone in India this month. The highlight of Huawei P9 smartphone is its two Leica-made 12MP rear cameras.

Huawei launches G9 Lite Smartphone
Huawei has just launched its G9 Lite Smartphone in China. The G9 Lite is priced at CNY 1,699 and will go on sale starting May 13.

The Huawei G9 Lite sports a 5.2-inch full HD display with 1920x1080 pixels resolution. Powering the device is a 2GHz Octa-core Kirin 650 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone has 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

Huawei G9 Lite has Dual SIM functionality and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. There's a 13MP primary camera with LED flash and an 8MP front-facing shooter on-board too.

The device includes 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. A 3,000 mAh battery provides the juice for the whole package.

Huawei to launch Honor 5X
Chinese manufacturer Huawei has revealed that it will be launching its Honor 5X Smartphone in India on 28th January. The handset was launched in China last year and it will be available in Silver and Sunset Gold colour options.

The Huawei Honor 5X flaunts a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution. The handset comes with dual SIM functionality and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system topped with the EMUI of the company. The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor paired with 2GB/3GB of RAM. The onboard storage of the handset accounts to 16GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

The Huawei Honor 5X features a 13.0-megapxiel primary camera with LED flash and a 5.0-megapxiel secondary camera to facilitate video calling. It also incorporates a fingerprint sensor and Box speakers. The device offers 4G, LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS as connectivity options and houses a 3,000 mAh battery.

Huawei has also unveiled its new flagship smartphone Mate 8 at CES 2016. The Huawei Mate 8 features a 6-inch Full HD display with octa-core Huawei Kirin 950 processor. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and offers 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. It flaunts a 16MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front snapper for selfies and 4,000 mAh battery.

Google Nexus 6P Special Edition
Huawei, the company that manufactures Nexus 6P for Google, has released the Special Edition variant of the Smartphone in the Indian market.

Priced at Rs 43,999, the Nexus 6P Special Edition sports a metal body in gold color, has 64GB internal storage and costs Rs 1,000 more than the standard variants. It will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting December 21.

Google had originally released Nexus 6 in silver and grey colors. The 32GB variant costs Rs 39,999, while the 64GB model is priced at Rs 42,999.

The all-new Google Nexus 6P has a 5.7-inch AMOLED display with QHD (1440x2560p) resolution and comes with the integrated Nexus Imprint fingerprint sensor on the back. The Smartphone features an all-metal, 7.33 mm thick body in white, grey and Aluminium finishes, packs a 3,450 mAh battery, and comes with front-facing stereo speakers.

The Smartphone has a 12.3 MP rear camera (1.55 micron sensor which captures more light, thus delivering better low light photos) that supports 4K recording and can capture videos at 240 frames per second; it is backed by a dual-LED flash. On the front is an 8MP camera, the highest resolution for selfie camera for a Nexus Smartphone yet.

Huawei Honor 7 launched in India
Huawei has launched its latest Honor flagship, Honor 7, in India. The device is priced at Rs 22,999. The phone will be available on Flipkart starting October 15 in grey and silver color variants.
 


The phone was first launched in China in June and in European market in August.
 


The USP of the phone is its metal unibody design and a fingerprint sensor at the back.

Honor 7 sports a 5.2-inch full-HD(1080x1920p) display with Gorilla Glass protection. The device is powered by a 2.2GHz Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 935 processor, Mali-T628 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

The phone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Huawei's Emotion UI 3.1 running on top.

The Honor 7 features a 20MP camera with a Sony sensor and dual-LED flash and an 8MP front facing camera.

For the purpose of connectivity, the single-SIM phone supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It packs a 3100mAh battery and also sports an Infrared port.

Huawei to launch 4G Smartphones under Rs 10,000
Chinese telecom company Huawei has revealed about plans to launch 4G Smartphones for less than Rs. 10,000 within the next six months. The company has thrown such interest to cash in on the next generation high-speed mobile data services.

"We are largest owner of essential patents for 4G technology. The essential patents are technology required to connect with 4G network. Within 3-6 months, we have plans to launch 4G handsets below Rs. 10,000", says Huawei's Director for Devices Sales, P Sanjeev.

Reliance Jio Infocomm, the only pan-India 4G spectrum holder, has plans to launch its 4G services by mid 2015.

Airtel and Aircel have started 4G services in select areas. BSNL, Tikona and Augere too need to launch their services in 2015.

Huawei had filed 12,000 patents till August 2014 for consumer devices and entered into cross patent agreements with leading companies such as Ericsson, Nokia, Microsoft, Alcatel Lucent and Qualcomm.
 
The company claims to have sold 80,000 units of its Honor Holy model priced at Rs. 6,999 within a month of its launch. The 5-inch screen size Smartphone has 16 GB internal memory, 8 megapixel main camera and 2 MP front camera.

"We sell devices which mostly use our patent technologies. Honor series comes up with our patent power saving technology, Quick Power Control, that save 30 per cent power. Like, if battery has 3000 mAH capacity then with QPC it can provide power back equivalent to that of 4000 mAh", says Sanjeev.
    
He said that company's research and development team in India has contributed to its Emotion UI patent which has feature like turning screen in a glass mirror, learn functions of any remote be it TV, DTH and even car and then operate it from mobile phone.
