Xiaomi launches cheapest variant of Mi Note 3
Xiaomi has launched its new and cheapest variant of the Mi Note 3 Smartphone on its home turf in China. The device comes with a lower RAM capacity than the other two variants. The new device is listed on the company's website at CNY 1999 (roughly Rs 19,600).
While the previously launched two variants of Xiaomi Mi Note 3 come with 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB inbuilt storage variants, the new version comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
It is worth adding that the 6GB+64GB variant and 6GB+128GB variant were priced at CNY 2499 and CNY 2899 respectively. Now, the prices of these too have been reduced to CNY 2299 and CNY 2599.
Xiaomi launched the Mi Note 3 in September this year alongside the Mi Mix 2 and Mi Notebook pro laptop. The Smartphone's highlight is its dual rear cameras.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 houses dual rear cameras with 12MP+12MP lens. The primary 12MP wide angle lens comes with f/1.8 aperture while the other 12MP telephoto zoom lens comes with F/2.6 aperture and is claimed to deliver improved portrait shots with Bokeh effects. The cameras can also shoot 4K videos. There is also a 16MP front-facing camera with face unlock feature.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 sports a metal build with 'four sided curves' for a better grip. It has a 5.5-inch full HD (1080x1920 pixels) screen with a pixel density of 403ppi and 94.4% NTSC color gamut.
Running under the hood is the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor along with Adreno 512 GPU. The Mi Note 3 is backed by a 3500mAh battery and also supports fast charging 3.0 Technology with USB Type-C port.
Some of the other connectivity features included are Wi-Fi ac, Wi-Fi Display, Bluetooth v5.0, 4G, NFC and GPS. The Smartphone measures 152.6x73.95x7.6mm and weighs around 163 grams.
