Ajanta is well known for the clocks and various types of electronic goods. Its products are sold under the brand name Orpat. The company has also been successful in launching its e-bikes manufactured at its facility at Morbi in Rajkot. The company has now come out with a demo E-Car titled Oreva.
The decision to move the Nano project to Gujarat has already created a lot of excitement. The announcement of this car has further increased the expectations of the people of Gujarat. The state will become a leader in automobile industry should both the projects succeed. Gujarat has an excellent track record of corporate success.
Rakesh Nathwani, National Marketing Head of Oreva Group said “We don’t have any competition with ‘Nano‘. This is our future product as we have seen electric bikes as our future products. We see electric cars also as future products for India and we are working on it. The research and development is going on. This car will go on battery and it will be a completely Indian made battery operated car,”.
He did not give out the price of its new car. It is expected that the car is likely to be sold at about Rs 85000. That will be some competition for Nano.
