Microsoft launches Cheapest Lumia Smartphone

Microsoft has taken on the budget market segment by launching Lumia 435. Priced at Rs 5,999, the Smartphone was unveiled in January along with Lumia 532.

At this price, Lumia 435 is the cheapest Windows Phone handset in the market and competes with the likes of Moto E, Xiaomi Redmi 1S and Lenovo A6000.

The dual-SIM phone has a 4-inch screen with 480x800p resolution and packs a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor with 1GB RAM under the hood and comes with 8GB internal storage and micro-SD card support up to 128GB. This Microsoft Smartphone also packs a 2MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 1,560mAh battery.

Lumia 435 is powered by Microsoft's proprietary Windows 8.1 OS, which sports an 'Action Center', which is similar to the Notification Center of Android phones.

But what users can look forward to having in Lumia 435 is Microsoft's Cortana, which will do what Siri does for Apple devices and Google Now does for Android.
