Lava launces A82 Smartphone in India

In India 60% of the total population resides in small towns and villages. This means over 600 million smartphone users are in these places. 

There are plenty of Smartphone makers who are willing to or are already selling Smartphones at attractive prices to the rural customers, with budget offerings. Players like Intex and Micromax are rampant here. Then there are manufacturers like Lava who are also trying to make a mark in these markets with their Smartphone offerings. Their new phone is aimed at urban as well as rural sectors.

Lava has launched A82 budget smartphone at Rs 5,299 and will be exclusively available online on TataCliQ.com, Tata Group's new e-commerce venture, along with retail and multi-brand handset outlets. The Smartphone is available in Blue, White and Gold colors.

Lava A82 features a 5-inch display with TFT FWVGA (480x854 pixels) resolution. Powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM, the Smartphone offers 8GB of storage. Users can also install microSD cards of up to 32GB, for more space.

The Lava A82 runs Android Lollipop 5.1 and is powered by a 2,000mAh battery. It sports a 5MP rear and 2MP front camera. The Smartphone also supports 'smart-screen gestures'. The handset comes with 1 year manufacturer warranty along with 6 months warranty for the in-box accessories. These include the battery, headset, screen guard, charger and the USB Cable.
