Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Starck Edition launched

Chinese Smartphone maker Xiaomi's first bezel-less Smartphone Mi Mix 2 has just received a limited-edition version called the Mi Mix 2 Starck Edition. This handset sports a signature of the French designer Phillipe Starck - who designed both the Mi Mix and the Mi Mix 2 Smartphones - at the back.

The handset will go on sale in China starting November 28 at 4,999 Yuan. This is the same price as the full ceramic body variant that offers 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, announced at the time of the China launch as the Special Edition Xiaomi Mi 2.

It’s also reported that the company has also launched a Black color option for the full ceramic Mi Mix 2 in China, which was only available in white.

The handset was launched in China in September and came to India a month after that. The company launched only the ceramic version with an aluminium alloy frame version in India that offers 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage at Rs 35,999.

The Smartphone is the company's first bezel-less Smartphone in India and is exclusively available on Flipkart and Mi.com online. It sports a 5.99-inch full HD+ display of 1080x2160 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.

Powering the device is the 2.4GHx octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU. Currently running Android 7.0 Nougat, the handset is expected to receive Android 8.0 Oreo update by December.

The Smartphone has a fingerprint sensor at the back along with a 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor. On the front, it has a 5MP camera placed at the bottom. It measures 151.8x 75.5 x7.7 mm and offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and USB Type C as connectivity options.
