Alcatel A5 LED and A7 Launched in India

Alcatel has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of two new Smartphones in India. The company has launched Alcatel A5 LED and A7. The company introduced both the Smartphones at IFA 2017 in Berlin.

Price and Availability:

The Alcatel A5 LED comes with a price tag of Rs 12,999 and is available in Metallic Silver color. The Smartphone is exclusively available on Amazon. On the other hand, the Alcatel A7 is priced at Rs 13,999 and it is also available on Amazon. Both devices come with one-time free screen replacement and 20GB additional data from Reliance Jio. Along with this, Amazon is also offering some exchange offers and no cost EMIs.

Specifications:

The Alcatel A5 LED comes with a 5.2-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixel resolution. The device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by a 1.5GHz Octa-Core Mediatek MT6753 processor. It offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be expanded further via microSD card. The dual SIM device sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front snapper for selfies. It is backed by a 2800mAh battery and offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.

The other device, the Alcatel A7 sports a 5.5-inch full HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display with Dragontrial coating. Under-the-hood it sports an octa-core MT6750S processor, clubbed with 4GB RAM. There is a 32GB inbuilt storage along with the support for a microSD card (up to 128GB).

The A7 features a 16MP primary camera and 8MP secondary camera with LED flash on both the sides. Powered by a 4000mAh battery, the device measures 159.6 x 81.5x 8.65mm and weighs 175 grams.

Alcatel X1 Smartphone with Eye-D Unlock System

Alcatel has quietly launched its latest X1 Smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 15,999, the Smartphone is available on ecommerce websites like Amazon and Flipkart.

The Alcatel X1 features Aluminium frame design and has the company's Eye-D unlock system with eye-biometric support.

The device has a 5-inch HD display with 1280x720 pixel resolution protected with a layer of Dragontrail glass. The handset runs on Andorid 5.1 Lollipop operating system and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

The Dual-SIM Smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies. The connectivity options of the device include 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The smartphne promises to offer Hi-Fi audio experience with Cirrus logic and Arkamys support and is backed by a 2,150 mAh battery.

Alcatel OneTouch Watch with Android Wear

Alcatel has launched its Smartwatch range in India starting with the OneTouch Watch. The Android Wear-powered watch is available in India through Flipkart at Rs 7,999. 

The OneTouch Watch is available in two styles - Sporty dark red/volcano black and White. It features a 1.22-inch round display, with a resolution of 240x240pixel and TFT 262k colour display with oleophobic coating. 

It connects to Android and iOS Smartphones via Bluetooth.The Smartwatch can be synced with Android Smartphones (Android 4.3 and above) or iPhones (4S and above). 

The watch features a heart-rate monitor, an accelerometer, gyroscope, altimeter and e-compass. It also allows users to track their sleep cycle, distance covered, steps taken and calories burned. 

When connected to a Smartphone, the Alcatel OneTouch Watch displays call notifications, social media updates and vibrates if users stray too far from their phones. It also offers a "raise to see" feature turning on the display when the wrist is lifted. Touching the watch's screen activates a multimedia remote control. Users can control music, take pictures from their phone from a distance or make their phone ring in order to locate it. 

It is dust and water-resistant (up to 1meter), and Alcatel claims it has a long battery life with its 210mAh battery. 

The watch has a USB charger integrated into its band.

Alcatel launches POP 8S 4G Tablet

Alcatel has launched a new Android tablet - POP 8S in India. The tablet is priced at Rs 10,499. The 4G LTE-enabled tablet will be available exclusively on Flipkart.

Alcatel POP 8S sports an 8-inch IPS display with WXGA (800x1280p) resolution. It's 7.9 mm thick and weighs 327 grams.

Powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor and 1GB RAM, the tablet comes with 8GB storage expandable up to 64GB via microSD card.  The tablet runs Android 4.4 KitKat.

The Alcatel tablet sports a 5MP rear camera and a 3MP front-facing camera.

For connectivity, the device supports Wi-Fi, 4G LTE (both Indian bands), 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS in addition to an Infrared blaster. The POP 8S is powered by a 4060mAh battery.
