InFocus launches Bingo 50, Cheapest Android Marshmallow Smartphone
US-based InFocus has launched a new budget Smartphone Bingo 50 in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 7,499, the Smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 topped with company's InLife UI 2.0.

At this price, the InFocus Bingo 50 is the cheapest Smartphone that runs on the latest operating system from Google.

The device will be available exclusively on Snapdeal from March 21 for which the registration starts from March 15. The phone will be available in variants -- Sandstone Gray and Leather Black.

The InFocus Bingo 50 features a 5-inch HD IPS touchscreen display with 1280x720p resolution. Powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, the smartphone comes with 3GB RAM, and also offers 16GB of internal storage. Users who want more storage space can install microSD card of up to 64GB.

InFocus Bingo 50 sports an 8MP primary camera with LED flash and also an 8MP secondary camera and packs a 2,500mAh battery.

Lenovo launches Cheapest 4G Smartphone A2010
Lenovo has joined the ranks of ZTE and Phicomm as the maker of India's cheapest 4G Smartphone with the launch of its A2010 handset, priced at Rs 4,990.

As is the case with other Lenovo models, the new A2010 will be available exclusively via Flipkart.

Lenovo A2010 has a 4.5-inch screen with 480x854p resolution and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) operating system. The Smartphone packs a 1GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6735m chipset with 1GB RAM under the hood, with 8GB internal storage and microSD card support up to 32GB.

The all-new A2010 budget Smartphone has a 5MP rear camera with LED flash on the back and a 2MP camera in front. Apart from 4G (both TDD and FDD bands), its connectivity suite consists of 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. This dual-SIM Smartphone's 2,000mAh battery can deliver talk time of up to 8.5 hours on 3G and 4G networks, the company claims.

According to a recent IDC report, Lenovo accounts for 30% of the total 4G Smartphones sold in the country in the second quarter.

Phicomm launches Energy 653
Phicomm has launched its second handset in India - Energy 653 which has been priced at Rs 4,999. Energy 653 is the cheapest 4G Smartphone in India.

It competes with ZTE Blade Qlux, which also offers 4G connectivity and is also priced at Rs 4,999. The dual SIM Smartphone from Phicomm sports a 5-inch (720x1280 pixels) HD IPS display and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Expect 5.0 UI.

Powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) processor and 1GB RAM, the phone has 8GB inbuilt storage and microSD card support for cards of up to 64GB capacity.

Phicomm Energy 653 packs 2300mAh battery and features 8MP primary camera and 2MP secondary camera.

For the connectivity, the Smartphone offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth.

Celkon Millenia 2GB Xpress
 Indian cell phone brand Celkon has released its Millenia 2GB Xpress Smartphone in the Indian market. The handset is priced at Rs 6,222. The Smartphone's 2GB RAM is its USP.

The new Millenia 2GB Xpress is among the cheapest Smartphones in the market to offer 2GB of RAM.

On the hardware side, Celkon Millenia 2GB Xpress has a 4.5-inch screen with 480x854p resolution and runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. It packs 16GB of internal storage, 1,500mAh battery, 5MP rear camera as well as a selfie snapper, though the company has not revealed the resolution of the front camera.

Powered by Android 4.4 (KitKat), the Smartphone is upgradable to Android 5.0 (Lollipop). Additionally, it comes with software features like Smart Commands, Smart Assistant, and Power Saving Mode.

ZTE launches Blade Qlux 4G
Chinese handset maker ZTE has launched a new series of budget Smartphones with the release of Blade Qlux 4G. The Smartphone will be exclusively available through Amazon at Rs 4,999.

The dual-SIM Smartphone sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854p) IPS display. Powered by Mediatek MTK6732M 1.3GHz quad-core processor, the phone comes with 1GB RAM, and also offers 8GB internal storage. Users who want more storage space can install microSD cards of up to 32GB.

The budget Smartphone sports a 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front camera.

Blade Qlux 4G packs 2,200mAh battery and runs on Android KitKat 4.4.2. Connectivity options include 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

At this price, it is cheapest Smartphone to support 4G and competes with Motorola's Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G at Rs 7,499 and Xiaomi Redmi 2 at Rs 6,999.

Microsoft launches Lumia 430, cheapest Windows Phone
It’s just another budget Smartphone to its Lumia range. Microsoft has launched Lumia 430, which is priced at approximately Rs 4,400. It is the most economical Smartphone in the Lumia series. 

The dual SIM Smartphone has a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) LCD display and sports a 2MP primary camera along with a VGA secondary camera. 

Powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor and 1GB RAM, Lumia 430 offers 8GB of internal storage and can support micro-SD cards of up to 128GB. 

The Smartphone, like other phones in Lumia series, comes with 30GB of free OneDrive cloud storage. 

Lumia 430 runs Windows Phone 8.1 and packs a 1500mAh battery, which is replaceable. 

Available in two colours: Bright Orange and Black, the phone offers support for 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

Microsoft launches Cheapest Lumia Smartphone

Microsoft has taken on the budget market segment by launching Lumia 435. Priced at Rs 5,999, the Smartphone was unveiled in January along with Lumia 532.

At this price, Lumia 435 is the cheapest Windows Phone handset in the market and competes with the likes of Moto E, Xiaomi Redmi 1S and Lenovo A6000.

The dual-SIM phone has a 4-inch screen with 480x800p resolution and packs a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor with 1GB RAM under the hood and comes with 8GB internal storage and micro-SD card support up to 128GB. This Microsoft Smartphone also packs a 2MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 1,560mAh battery.

Lumia 435 is powered by Microsoft's proprietary Windows 8.1 OS, which sports an 'Action Center', which is similar to the Notification Center of Android phones.

But what users can look forward to having in Lumia 435 is Microsoft's Cortana, which will do what Siri does for Apple devices and Google Now does for Android.

Lenovo launches A6000 : India's cheapest 4G Smartphone
Chinese device maker Lenovo has launched its budget 4G Smartphone, A6000. Available at Rs 6,999;  it will be the cheapest 4G-enabled Smartphone available in the Indian market.

The phone will be exclusively available on e-commerce retailer Flipkart . The phone will be sold through the flash sale model and interested consumers will need to register to be eligible to purchase the phone.

Registrations will commence on January 16 at 6pm and will end on January 27 at 6pm. Registered users will be able to buy the phone on January 28 at 2pm.

The phone was earlier unveiled during CES 2015 at Las Vegas, USA.

Lenovo A6000 sports a 5-inch IPS HD (720x1920p) display. Powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdrogon 410 processor and 1GB RAM, the phone comes with 8GB of storage space.

The phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Lenovo's Vibe UI 2.0 custom interface.

A6000 sports an 8MP rear camera with auto focus and LED flash)and a 2MP front facing camera.

The dual SIM phone supports 4G LTE connectivity with support for both FDD 1800MHz (Band 3) and TDD 2300MHz (Band 40) in addition to other popular connectivity options including Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G.

Featuring a 2300mAh battery, the phone has two speakers and Dolby Digital Plus sound.

Other 4G-enabled budget Android phones available in India include Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and Micromax's YU Yureka phones.

Huawei to launch 4G Smartphones under Rs 10,000
Chinese telecom company Huawei has revealed about plans to launch 4G Smartphones for less than Rs. 10,000 within the next six months. The company has thrown such interest to cash in on the next generation high-speed mobile data services.

"We are largest owner of essential patents for 4G technology. The essential patents are technology required to connect with 4G network. Within 3-6 months, we have plans to launch 4G handsets below Rs. 10,000", says Huawei's Director for Devices Sales, P Sanjeev.

Reliance Jio Infocomm, the only pan-India 4G spectrum holder, has plans to launch its 4G services by mid 2015.

Airtel and Aircel have started 4G services in select areas. BSNL, Tikona and Augere too need to launch their services in 2015.

Huawei had filed 12,000 patents till August 2014 for consumer devices and entered into cross patent agreements with leading companies such as Ericsson, Nokia, Microsoft, Alcatel Lucent and Qualcomm.
 
The company claims to have sold 80,000 units of its Honor Holy model priced at Rs. 6,999 within a month of its launch. The 5-inch screen size Smartphone has 16 GB internal memory, 8 megapixel main camera and 2 MP front camera.

"We sell devices which mostly use our patent technologies. Honor series comes up with our patent power saving technology, Quick Power Control, that save 30 per cent power. Like, if battery has 3000 mAH capacity then with QPC it can provide power back equivalent to that of 4000 mAh", says Sanjeev.
    
He said that company's research and development team in India has contributed to its Emotion UI patent which has feature like turning screen in a glass mirror, learn functions of any remote be it TV, DTH and even car and then operate it from mobile phone.

Nokia Lumia 638, Cheapest 4G Smartphone in India

At a low price of Rs 8,229; Microsoft has launched a 4G-enabled Windows Phone 8.1 Smartphone, Nokia Lumia 638. The 638 is the cheapest 4G-enabled Smartphone available in the Indian market currently.

The budget Smartphone sports a 4.5-inch 480x854p (FWVGA, 218ppi) ClearBack LCD display. The phone comes with polycarbonate design with changeable shells available in matte black and white colours.

Lumia 638 is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor and 1GB RAM. It comes with 8GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

Lumia 638 runs Windows Phone 8.1, the latest update of the OS. The phone comes with onscreen soft keys for back, search and Home instead of hardware, capacitive keys. This feature has been introduced with Windows Phone 8.1.

The phone features a 5MP auto-focus rear camera but there's no LED flash. The Lumia 638 doesn't come with a front-facing camera.

In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 4G TD-LTE (which supports Indian bands), Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, Wi-Fi, and A-GPS. The phone also includes 'SensorCore', low-power motion sensing for fitness apps. It is powered by an 1830mAh battery.

The company is also offering freebies with the phone. Microsoft will offer Lumia 638 consumers on Airtel post-paid. However this offer is for Bengaluru consumers who get up to 5GB of free data on 4G for 2 months post activation of their sim. The offer will be available until 31 March 2015.
