Sony Xperia E4 dual launched in India

Sony has launched its budget Smartphone Xperia E4 (dual SIM) in India at Rs 12,490.

It is targeted at price conscious consumers and will be available at all leading retail stores and Sony outlets.

The phone, along with its single-SIM variant, was launched in black and white color options in February.

Sony Xperia E4 sports a 5-inch qHD(960x540 pixels) IPS display. Powered by a 1.3GHz Qualcomm quad core processor, Adreno 330 GPU and 1GB RAM, the phone comes with 8GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB via micro-SD card. It's powered by a 2300mAh battery and the company promises talk time of up to 12hours and 43minutes and standby time of up to 696hours.

The Smartphone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop, the latest iteration of the phone. Interestingly, no other phones from Sony feature this OS at this point in time.

Xperia E4 has a 5MP rear camera (supports 1080p video capture) with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera.

The phone supports Wi-Fi and WiFi Hotspot, 3G, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS.

The phone will compete with the likes of Motorola Moto E (second-gen) and Xiaomi Redmi 2.
