iBall launches Cheapest Tablet

Domestic device maker iBall has launched Slide i701 tablet that runs Windows 8.1. Priced at Rs 4,999, it's the cheapest Windows tablet available at the moment.

iBall will bundle a free back cover, HDMI cable and three protective covers with the tablet.

The Slide i701 sports a 7-inch IPS HD display (720x1280p) and is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom processor and 1GB RAM. It comes with 16GB internal storage and a microSD card slot that supports cards of up to 32GB.

It runs Windows 8.1 and the company says that users will get a free upgrade to Windows 10 when it releases to the public.

The tablet features a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front facing camera. It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, micro HDMI and micro USB. 3G connectivity through a USB dongle is also supported. The tablet comes with a 3200Ah battery.
