Lenovo Vibe K5 to go on Open Sale

Lenovo has announced that its recently-launched Vibe K5 Smartphone will be available without any pre-registrations starting July 4. Lenovo Vibe K5 will be exclusively available on Amazon India website.

The company claims that over 1 lakh units of the Vibe K5 have been sold since its launch on June 22 in two flash sales. The 4G Smartphone is priced at Rs 6,999.

Lenovo introduced Vibe K5 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 in February this year. It was unveiled along with the company's Vibe K5 Plus, which was launched in India in March at Rs 8,499.

The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Vibe K5 features a 5-inch HD display of 720x1280 pixel resolution. The phone offers dual-SIM functionality as well.

It is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. In-built storage of the Smartphone is 16GB, with the ability to use microSD cards of up to 32GB in size.

The device sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies. On the connectivity front, the Vibe K5 offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS, with a 2,750mAh battery rounding off the spec sheet. The only difference between the Lenovo Vibe K5 and the Vibe K5 Plus is that the latter sports a Full HD resolution display and a slightly more powerful processor.
